I rumors sulla salute di Patrick Swayze continuano a diffondersi causando panico, ed a smentire tutto e tutti ci pensa Whoopi Goldberg, amica carissima dell’attore. Settimana scorsa il solito National Enquirer riportava la notizia – datagli da un amico di Swayze - secondo cui l’attore è ogni giorno più fragile e consapevole di essere vicino alla morte a causa del cancro al pancreas, di qui la decisione di salutare amici e parenti. Immediata la smentita del 56enne Patrick, che per l’ennesima volta si dichiara “stupito da questi falsi rumors e da queste storie negative su di me e sulla mia salute quando ci sarebbero molte cose positive da dire. Ho iniziato una nuova chemioterapia e, ancora una volta, sono uno dei pochi fortunati che risponde bene alla terapia“. Secondo Whoopi Goldberg, invece, l’attore sta talmente tanto bene (quantomeno in spirito) che ha ripreso gli allenamenti per la seconda stagione di The Beast, nuova serie della A&E con protagonista proprio Patrick Swayze. In un’intervista rilasciata a The View, l’attrice ha spiegato che “Patrick è malato e questo è un dato di fatto, ma tutti sappiamo che prima o poi bisogna morire, ma non è che Swayze ha già una data di scadenza“. La Goldberg ha anche annunciato che Swayze “vive un giorno alla volta, pensa solo ad andare avanti, tornerà ad allenarsi per ‘The Beast’, uno show pazzesco sul piano fisico.
