Hold on to your track pants, Sue Sylvester! 'Cause one solid Glee insider tells me that Neil is playing a character who is "really funny and really mean." I'm told he will be "much more of the Dr. Horrible variety than Doogie Howser, M.D."

So it seems Glee's writers are smartly honing in on their comedy sweet spot: deliciously devious characters who can deliver those breathtaking LOL one-line zingers. (See: Jane Lynch, and now Molly Shannon, who is rumored to be playing an enemy to Sue.)

So where does Neil's guest spot now stand? "When the news first broke that Neil was coming on," one Fox insider says, "it really wasn't happening at that point and nothing was written. But things changed fast, as they do."

That said, we'll know more details when the ink on Neil's ep has dried. But the good news is that the ink has definitely dried on his contract, and we'll get the great flavors of NPH and Glee together in very late spring.

But insiders tell us that the creators are still toying with having Menzel play the long-lost biological mom of Lea Michele's character. "It's no accident that Idina and Lea look and sound alike," says our spy. "The story arc could have Idina's character putting Lea up for adoption because she wanted to make it big in singing, then deciding she wants to get to know her daughter." We shall see.

News sull'episodio con NEIL PATRICK HARRIS!
It’s official: Neil Patrick Harris’ forthcoming guest appearance on Glee will without a doubt be legen — wait for it… here it comes — dary.

I just got my hands on some fresh intel surrounding Harris’ role in the Joss Whedon-helmed episode, so you best stop reading, spoilerphobes!

According to a Glee insider, NPH will play Bryan Adam (ha!), a high school glee club nemesis of Will’s (Matthew Morrison) who resurfaces as a board member at William McKinley.

“Flashback scenes will show Bryan picking up girls and getting all the cool solos,” reveals the source, “while Will sits off in the sidelines.”

The stage for a present-day rematch is set when Harris’ character announces his intent to cut the arts programs at the school. “Show choir ruined his life, made him feel he could be a star, but all he could do is book Carnival cruises,” explains the insider. “Now he wants vengeance.”

The episode — which I’m told features a climactic duet between Harris and Morrison — goes before the cameras next week and is slated to air during May sweeps.

Legen — wait for it… here it comes — dary stuff, right? (That’s the last time I’m doing that, BTW. Swear.)


EDIT TO ADD: non dimentichiamoci che dovrebbe essere l'episodio diretto da Joss Whedon (si riforma la coppia di Dr. Horrible) , e probabilmente quello intitolato "Original Song" (le canzoni saranno di Joss come in "Once more with feeling"?! Come mi piacerebbe sentire Rachel cantare "Walk through the fire", Puck "Rest in peace" e Will "THEY GOT THE MUSTARD OUUUUUT"!!!)

Lea Michele also told me at the Golden Globes that J.T. is the one guest star she'd love to have, just so he can have a dance-off with Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison). I'm so on board with that!
